Welcome to NON-TOXIC COMEDY SHOW™ every 2nd & 4th Sunday from 6-8 pm at Redwood Cafe Cotati.

CLEAN, NON-TOXIC comedy is the perfect way for audiences of all types to enjoy comedy without having to worry about inappropriate, offensive, cringeworthy content. Our CLEAN SHOW audience at Redwood Cafe, Cotati, includes all ages, genders, and levels of sensitivity… people in general who don’t want to leave feeling “the ick,” or care about people who would.

Don’t get us wrong – a great set always runs the risk of offending someone. Who could’ve known it really was too soon, just for them?

But there are some things we here at Non-Toxic Comedy Show™ think are always too soon and will never age well.

Content and topics you will never see at NON-TOXIC COMEDY SHOW™:

• NO toxic material, which, in the view of Non-Toxic Comedy Show™, a reasonable person would find offensive, such as:
• NO hate speech (e.g. racism, antisemitism, misogyny, ableism, transphobia, homophobia).
• NO malicious speech.
• NO trivializing or stereotyping of vulnerable groups, or jokes at their expense.
• NO bullying or jokes that punch down.

Our CLEAN SHOW SPECIFIC content and topics follow PG and FCC Prime-Time content restrictions. We aim for Pixar-style nuance/innuendo, with:

• NO material that, in the view of Non-Toxic Comedy Show™, would offend parents whose children are in the audience, in theme, language, nudity, sex, violence, or other matters, as specified below. If you wouldn’t say it to your daughter, your grandma, or your child’s third grade class, you won’t hear it here.
• Theme: Subject matter is safe for general audiences. May contain some material that some parents may consider unsuitable for their children, but no explicit or graphic description of such matter.
• Language: No foul language or sexually-derived words, either as an expletive or in a sexual context. If it’s indecent/profane/obscene, or if you can’t say it on the radio or prime-time TV, it doesn’t belong here.
• Nudity/sex: May contain brief mentions of nudity/sex, but NO overtly sexual content, graphic sexual descriptions, or graphic discussion of body parts that require consent to touch.
• Violence: May contain brief mentions of violence, no graphic descriptions.
• Drugs: No content referencing drug use. (Incidental, educational, or cautionary tales may be considered on a case-by-case basis.)

While we trust our performers to adhere to these guidelines, if a joke seems like it's about to cross the line, the performer will be cut off with a cowbell, and may not be invited back. Our goal at Non-Toxic Comedy Show™? No Cowbell!
