Held in Orange County the birthplace of Christian Alternative Rock Oct. 24-25 at the Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa Tom Con will be one of the single greatest gatherings of all time! A two day VIP meet and greet of legendary Christian Alternative Rock heroes from the 80’s 90’s and 2000’s! Over 50 interviewed artists on 12 panels and special once in a lifetime live performances. Come and rub shoulders with your musical heroes.

Tom Con was born from a Christian Alternative Rock festival created by Mikee Bridges called Tom Fest or The Other Music Festival that ran for over 10 years and hosted hundreds of bands each year. Mikee was a member of several signed Christian Alternative Rock bands including Sometime Sunday on the then explosive Tooth And Nail Records. Using relationships formed from that Mikee went on to build 6 live music venues and over 20 music and arts festivals in Oregon and California. 

A brief history of the origins of Alternative Christian Rock. 

Orange County in the 1980s saw the birth of Christian alternative rock as musicians from the Jesus Movement began merging their faith with the raw energy of punk and new wave. Bands like Undercover The Altar Boys and The Choir emerged from the Calvary Chapel network creating a rebellious sound that offered an alternative to traditional Christian music and resonated with a new generation of believers. This movement carved out a unique and influential space in both the Christian and alternative music scenes.
