Electric Bicycle Skills Workshop at TeWinkle Middle School

On Saturday, Sept. 27, '25, the City will host a Community E-Bike Skills Course at TeWinkle Middle School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and students from Newport Mesa Unified School District are invited to attend. The event will have a specific focus on the operation of E-bikes for students interested in learning more about safety, maintenance, and bicycling.

The workshop continues bicycle safety education events held at 16 other elementary, middle, and high schools within the past year. Stay tuned for two additional community-wide events open to all members of the public in the coming months.

As the City continues to implement the extensive network of bicycle facilities outlined in the 2018 Active Transportation Plan, safe bicycle riding habits for users of all ages is an important component of an effective bicycle network to provide mobility options to Costa Mesa residents and visitors.
