About the event

Lecture: Ice Age Ecology on Marys Peak
Marys Peak is like an “island-in-the-sky,” isolating Noble fir forests and subalpine meadows that were once much more widespread in the Oregon Coast Range. This illustrated story reveals the geological processes that formed the peak and help maintain its Ice Age ecology. About the presenter: Dr. Robert J. (Bob) Lillie is a retired geology professor and park ranger.

This lecture is a partnership with Marys Peak Alliance.
A hike on Marys Peak, also led by the Bob Lillie, will happen on Saturday, August 2nd at 1:00 pm. Please register for the hike separately.
