The public is invited to a special program that marks the third program in the Restoring Democracy series that is being sponsored in 2025-26 by the League of Women Voters of Corvallis. “Health Care: A National Issue through a Local Lens” will be held on Tuesday, December 9, from 6:30 to 8:15 pm at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, which is co-sponsoring the program.
The program will begin with a brief overview of the League’s national position on health care, followed by presentations that address how the federal government’s decisions related to health care are impacting our community members and their families, hospitals and clinics, and by doctors and other health care professionals. Featured presenters are:
• State Senator Sara Gelser Blouin
• Michael Huntington, MD, and
• Christine Mosbaugh of Community Health Centers of Benton and Linn Counties.
Audience members will then have an opportunity to ask questions of the panelists. The program will also include opportunities for networking and for attendees to participate in small group discussions in response to what they’ve heard. Light refreshments will be served. This meeting will be in person only and not accessible online.
