Webinar: Nuwu Astronomy Views

This presentation will explore the connection to the night sky as a Southern Paiute, including the importance of preserving the night sky. The presenter, Autumn Gillard, will discuss southern Paiute astronomy views and the recognition of how the sky can also be subjected to Indigenous cultural appropriation.

About the presenter:
Autumn Gillard is a maternal descendant of the Cedar Band of Paiutes, which is a part of the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah. She is the Cultural Resource Manager for the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah. Autumn specializes in cultural awareness, tribal diversity, and inclusivity.
