I'm currently on a multi-year bicycle tour around U.S. and I'm inviting fellow riders to join me for a stretch as I pedal from Albuquerque to Santa Fe along the Rail Runner route. This leg is part of a ride I'm doing in support of the American Cancer Society’s transportation program — but this ride is less about the cause and more about sharing the road, scenery, and stories with other cyclists.
Whether you're a touring enthusiast or just looking for a unique ride, you're welcome to join for a few miles or the whole way. With Rail Runner stations along the route, it’s easy to ride as much or as little as you’d like.
Date: Sunday, May 25:
🍴 2:30 PM: Optional lunch at El Pinto
🚴♂️ 3:30 PM: Roll out from Sandia Pueblo Rail Runner Station
* 6:00 PM: Kewa Station (Train departs southbound at 6:45 PM)
* 8:15 PM: SF Co / NM 599 Station (Train departs southbound at 8:30 PM)
* 9:15 PM: Arrive in Santa Fe
Pace: Easygoing and steady — not a hammerfest
What to bring: Water, snacks, lights, repair kit, and a Rail Runner ticket if you plan to take the train back
Note: None of this is set in stone — if you’re interested but something about the timing or route feels off, reach out! I’m happy to adjust the plan if it helps more folks ride. This is all about community and connection, not strict schedules.
If you’ve been craving a taste of touring life, this is a great chance to dip your toes in. Hope to see you on the road!
