Description:
In this class, students will explore the vast variety of birds that can be found around us and along the Gulf of Mexico. Through loose sketching exercises, we'll study their anatomy and unique characteristics while practicing our drawing skills. This is a relaxed, supportive class designed for anyone with an interest in birds, nature, or animal anatomy.
This class is open to all ages, and the goal is simple: Enjoy the process, grow your skills, and have fun!

Supplies:
All supplies will be provided but feel free to bring your own pencils and sketchbooks!
About the Instructor:
Hi there, my name is Samantha Derleth, I’m a local artist, recently graduated from UTSA with a BFA in Fine Arts, with a concentration in drawing but otherwise work interdisciplinary. My work is created through layers of symbolism, using wildlife, particularly birds, and plant life.
