Join us for an Oil Painting Demonstration with MARTIN POOLE on Saturday, July 19th from 11am-1pm at the West End Gallery!
Whether you're an art collector, an art appreciator, a fellow artist, an aspiring artist, or simply ‘art curious,’ this is a wonderful opportunity to watch a professional artist’s creative process. The artist demonstration will take place at West End Gallery located at 12 West Market Street in Corning, NY. Seating is limited. Early arrival is suggested if you wish to claim a chair. Doors will open by 10:45am.
*This demonstration will take place in the Main Gallery on the first floor, which is wheelchair accessible. The event is FREE and open to the public. All events are family friendly.
Poole has been represented by the West End Gallery for 46 years and this will be Poole's first painting demo in years. We hope you can join us for this very special event.
Artist's Statement:
“Life is a gift, and painting is one of the ways we realize what we are given. I paint because it helps me pay attention to our world, our lives in it and our lives together. Our lives are complex. We have chaos and loss – all kinds of darkness, but with these shadows always there is some kind of light. We build with that.”
