Celebrate the summer solstice with a day filled with music, community, and creativity! Make Music Day is a global event that transforms public spaces into stages, inviting everyone to enjoy and participate in live music performances.
🎤 Calling All Performers!
Are you a musician, vocalist, or part of a band? Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, we welcome you to share your talent with the community. Performances will take place on Centerway Square Stage, Riverside Park, and sidewalks throughout Corning's Gaffer District. It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with new audiences and fellow artists.

👥 Be a Part of the Audience!
Not a performer? No problem! Come out and enjoy a diverse range of musical styles performed by local artists. Stroll through downtown Corning and experience the vibrant sounds filling the air. It's a perfect day to discover new music and support local talent.
🎸 Special Activities:
- String Together: Participate in free string-changing sessions and receive a complimentary set of acoustic guitar strings from Elixir Strings (limited to the first 12 registrants at each participating store).
- community drum circles (for ALL ages)
- Learn to play the guitar with one of our volunteer instructors, we will provide a guitar if you need one!
- KIDS: Try out a school band instrument with a qualified instructor at out brass & woodwind "petting zoo"
- Other music workshops TBA
