The Sad Duet Tour - with Caoilian Sherlock & Tessa Rose Jackson

In January 2025, songwriter Tessa Rose Jackson released an EP of collaborations titled A Mirror Sometimes, which includes a duet with Irish songwriter Caoilian Sherlock. Meeting for the first time, the two wrote ‘Sad Duet’ while snowed in during a storm at a studio in Dublin, where they had performed together the night before. The Sad Duet Tour reunites them for a short tour around the south of Ireland this August.Tessa Rose Jackson is a songwriter, composer and visual artist based in London and Amsterdam. For six years she released music under the moniker Someone, but as of 2024 she has returned to using her own name for all her creative output. As Jackson is a film composer as well as an indie artist, her music has a naturally visual quality to it - channeling stories in which the human, the intimate and the fantastical are intertwined.

Musically she salutes heroes such as Feist, Laura Marling, Nick Drake and Zero 7, toeing the fine line between dreams and reality, delicacy and force. Jackson released an EP of collaborations called ‘A Mirror Sometimes’ in January of 2025, featuring artists such as Nana Adjoa, Benjamin Longman and Noon Garden.

Playing guitar and writing songs since the age of fifteen, well worn through years in rock and roll bands Caoilian Sherlock began playing solo shows that reflect a folkier and sparser terrain a few years ago. Backed with an electric guitar, a sense of entitlement and an overly sentimental view of almost everything - his music reflects a part of his record collection that hosts Paul Simon, John Prine and more recent luminaries like Waxahatchee and Angel Olsen.

Following an array of playful and infectious singles and a four track EP Big Child, Sherlock released his debut solo album Teenage Jesus in 2023 followed up with a significant UK and Irish tour that brought him from Cork to London, Sheffield to Manorhamilton blazing a trail across the country with his band The Big Children.
