The Sustainable Food Programme at Ballymaloe Cookery School and Organic Farm teaches students how to build a viable future through food systems and culture. This is the first course that draws fully on all the extensive resources of The Ballymaloe Organic Farm School, Ballymaloe Cookery School, our 100 acre organic farm and our network, bridging the knowledge gaps between cooking and farming in ways that can be sustained.
Students learn about:
Food literacy
Food systems in a time of acute climate change
The skills to produce healthy, seasonal sustainable food

Indoor and Outdoor Classroom Learning - we’ll spend time walking and learning around the farm please bring suitable clothing and footwear - and allow for changeable weather!

Eligible participants can avail of a generous 25% reduction on this course through our partners National Organic Training Skillnet. Book up through NOTS to avail of their reduced price offering and to get the course for just €5750. There are limited NOTS supported places available and please note that to qualify for the NOTS place, you must be a) resident in Ireland; and b) employed in any sector (either full-time or part-time).
