KIN is a small, independent music events organisation founded in January 2023, with its heart and home in the intimate loft space above Arundel’s by the Pier in Ahakista. These fortnightly gatherings alternate between showcases of local original songwriters and headline gigs featuring established national and international acts. Each event is paired with a different local creative who acts as a “set designer,” crafting a bespoke visual backdrop for the night and showcasing their work alongside the music.

Supporting both emerging and established artists is at the core of KIN’s mission - to keep creativity, culture, and community thriving in West Cork. The music and arts industries can be tough spaces to find income, experience, & connections, especially in rural areas. That’s why small, dedicated events like KIN at Arundels matter: they offer artists a space to grow, perform, and connect - with each other and with audiences.
