Mandy (Barnett) Dobney
Singer-songwriter Mandy Dobney began her professional career at just 15 in Coffs Harbour with local bands Doo Wah Diddy and Chiquee Babes. At 22, she joined six-piece group Electric, touring extensively across Asia. Her career has taken her to Hong Kong, Thailand, Scotland, London, and eight years performing at Hilton and Sheraton Hotels in Japan. While in London, she recorded backing vocals and a duet on Boyzone’s Mickey Graham’s album, and her song Big Trip won the UK’s Hottest Unsigned Band competition in 2001. Now back in Australia, Mandy performs with her husband Michael in their duo Who’s Charlie.

Michael Dobney
A pianist, vocalist, and songwriter, Michael Dobney has been performing since childhood, trained in classical, jazz, and contemporary styles. His career spans theatre, MC hosting, and bands across Australia and abroad. He held a three-year residency with Australia’s first Dueling Pianos show at Brisbane’s Treasury Casino before moving to Japan, where he performed for eight years at Hilton and Sheraton Hotels. As the producer and musical backbone of Who’s Charlie, Michael combines his unique piano style and vocal talent to create a dynamic live experience alongside Mandy.
