- **Event Description**: 5Rhythms is more than just a dance class! We aim to still the mind through moving the body. All welcome, even those with two feet!
It is a moving practice of getting out of the head and into the body. There are no steps! Any gender, age or fitness level can participate. All you need is a willingness to move, as you are guided through a body centred somatic experience.
We dance to get away from repetitive thoughts, to feel more centred and to release negative patterns. We dance to experience more freedom, more childlike innocence and more positivity. We dance to connect with others in authenticity.
5Rhythms is the original ecstatic dance experience, created by Gabrielle Roth. Facilitators undergo years of training in order to be able to understand the intricacies and depths of the rhythms and hold space for others.
Some people say that this practice is better than counselling, as we get in touch with our own level of self-love, relating in partnerships and with groups.
About Naomi: Dancing the rhythms since 2009 and teaching since 2015. Although this isn't for everyone, if you feel compelled, curious, nervous to be seen, you are not alone AND that is a really great place to start. Weekly classes are held in Bellingen. Hope you can make time for yourself to experience the magical transformation and reconnection to your own soul, releasing the old and feeling more alive !!!
