Join Watershed Watch, Resilient Waters, Kwikwetlem First Nation and UBC’s Pacific Salmon Ecology and Conservation Laboratory for a fun, family-friendly Salmon Day at ƛ̓éxətəm (tla-hut-um) Regional Park on Saturday, October 4.
Learn how we are working to reconnect waterways to improve salmon's ability to access their habitats.
Salmon Day is an educational event that will feature:
- Interactive displays by community partners
- A fish ID session
- A make-your-own-salmon detector station
- An opportunity to adopt your own PIT-tagged salmon so you can get updates about their journey.
Activities will run from 11 AM - 3 PM.
At 12 PM, community leaders will present on the awesome work being done to take care of salmon.

How to get there:
We will be hosting this event next to the Community Gardens at ƛ̓éxətəm (Colony Farm) Regional Park. Park at the ƛ̓éxətəm main parking lot at the end of Colony Farm Road.
The park has great walking and biking paths, so bring your bike and explore the many trails!
