Hale Vail, Copper Curmudgeon, Goat of the Trails

Ever been driving down I-70 in the mountains and seeing that bike path down near the river thinking "that looks fun as hell." Me too. So we're testing a new mountainside ride for this one. Start point is in Copper canyon at the Union Creek Parking Lot right across from the Cache at Copper Mountain. This is a longer ride and the first half is a lot of uphill over the 10 mile recreational canyon. 20.5 miles each direction for a 41 mile total ride. We'll have a stop point in vail and have lunch at Pazzo's Pizza with a hangout for people to charge if they need it, although, we should have much more downhill on the path back. We will wait up for stragglers cuz I-70 sucks, just please send a message saying you're behind so we can watch out for you. Tentative start time is probably more 12:15-12:30 depending on how fast people make it up here, but please aim earlier if possible.
