Dive into the heart of Brazilian Zouk with a full weekend dedicated to the art of connection. Whether you're leading, following, or exploring both roles, this weekender offers in-depth training on how to build, maintain, and deepen your connection in dance. Through guided workshops, partner work, and social dancing, you'll gain practical tools to communicate more clearly, move more comfortably, and dance more intuitively with others.

Saturday
12:00–13:30 – What Is Connection and How Do We Establish It?
We’ll start the weekend by unpacking the concept of connection in Zouk. You’ll explore how to create and maintain connection through body awareness, frame, tone, and intention—both in stillness and movement.
14:30–16:00 – Types of Connection, Embrace & Transitions
In this session, we’ll explore different forms of physical and energetic connection, from open and close embrace to elastic and dynamic frames. Learn how to move fluidly between them and how to maintain clarity and comfort throughout transitions.
18:00–21:00 – Connection-Based Social Dance
An evening social with a focus on connection—an opportunity to put everything into practice in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re dancing or observing, it’s a chance to experience the richness of Zouk connection in real time.
Sunday
12:00–13:30 – Leaders in Focus (for Leaders and Followers)
This session highlights the leader’s role in shaping the dance through clear communication, adaptability, and responsiveness. Followers are encouraged to join for a deeper understanding of lead intention and how to support a connected dialogue.
14:30–16:00 – Followers in Focus (for Leaders and Followers)
Now the spotlight shifts to the follower’s technique and expression. We’ll cover active listening, grounded responsiveness, and how followers contribute to and shape the connection. Leaders will gain insights into how to support and respond to more expressive following.
16:30 Special Workshop for Gold Members
Who is it for?
This weekender is open to all levels with some basic Zouk experience. It’s designed for anyone who wants to deepen their dance through mindful, skillful, and nuanced connection—regardless of your primary role on the dance floor.
