In connection with SALVATION (Glitter doesn't care I'm a boy), presented at H2O in collaboration with Copenhagen Opera Festival, we invite you to an exclusive workshop with international drag icon and operatic performer Shlomi Moto Wagner. This is a rare opportunity to dive into his creative methods and explore the poetic and political power of performance.
This workshop explores the intersection of drag and poetry - two art forms that disrupt and reimagine gender, language, and self-expression. Through readings, reflections, and guided writing exercises, participants will create their own poetic material inspired by drag aesthetics and queer imagination.
What you'll gain:
Insight into Shlomi's artistic process and performative tools
New approaches to working with text and transformation
A creative space for experimenting with language and identity
The chance to share your work in a supportive artistic setting
Who is it for?
- Performing artists working in professional settings
- Writers, playwrights, poets, and artists working with language
- Queer performers and drag artists engaged in professional practice
- Students who are working within the performing arts landscape
- Artists curious about queer theory, poetic strategies, and embodied storytelling
Price: Free - 65 DKK for madbillet
The workshop and performance are ticketed separately. The show runs August 18-20 (evenings).
