”Noaidi” is a new piece for hammered dulcimer, frame drum, synthesizer and vocal, including a text of the Sami poet Nils-Aslak Valkeapää.
From this day of May it will be out on cassette tape as well as digitally on Bandcamp, together with other music that was born out of the collaboration with the new-circus company Acting for Climate.
I wish to celebrate that with family, friends and colleagues!
After a welcome drink we will listen to the new cassette from the speakers.
I am in love with tapes and I would love share that with you!
So the evening will go on with a DJ set and mixtapes with exclusively cassettes from my collection ;)

Juan Pino’s minimal and poetic sound universe recalls the world roots and the magic of dreams. From the many travels to the Andes, the Amazon forest, Lapland and the Ganges he collected a bunch of instruments and impressions. Marimba, harmonicas, kalimbas, hammered dulcimer, synthesizers and various percussion gather into an organic landscape, at times naked and acoustic, other times electronically processed, now warm and groovy, then beautifully chaotic or simply ethereal.
Each concert is different, possibly working site specific and including improvisations.
Tropico del Cancer is often collaborating with dance, theatre, poetry, visuals and installations.
