------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What to Expect A lively, organized event designed to help you build real friendships. This is NOT speed dating; our events are purely platonic, which takes the pressure off so you can be yourself.
Fast-Paced Fun: You'll have a series of 3-minute, one-on-one conversations with other attendees. Structured & Safe: Our process makes it easy and safe to meet new people. Everyone is there for the same reason, so you can feel comfortable starting a conversation. Friendly Atmosphere: We kick things off with simple connection exercises to help everyone relax and get ready to meet new people. NEW: Fast-Track with a Buddy Group! To make building your new circle even easier, you can opt-in to a "Buddy Group." We'll match you with 3-5 of your best matches and book a table for you all at a cozy Copenhagen cafe. Just keep your calendar free on the following Sunday from 14:00 - 15:30 for this small group meetup. It’s the perfect, low-pressure way to turn a great conversation into a real friendship. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Important Stuff (Don't Skip This!) ARRIVAL: Please arrive 15 minutes early. The doors close precisely at the start time. Due to the structured nature of the event, we unfortunately cannot let people in late as it disrupts the group.
WHAT TO BRING: A Pen, A Waterbottle & A Smile. That's it. Bring a pen for your buddy card. Most importantly, just bring your authentic self. The goal is to find people who like you for you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How It Works: 5 Simple Steps Get Your Number : You’ll get a numbered envelope with a "Buddy Card" inside. This is how you'll secretly note who you vibe with. Chat & Connect: We'll ring a gong to start each 3-minute round. When the music starts, the round is over. Switch: When I yell "Switch!", you move to the next seat to meet someone new. It's a seamless way to meet everyone. Mark Your Card: After each conversation, you can discreetly mark the number of anyone you'd like to connect with again. At the end, you hand the card & envelope back to us. We Do the Matching: If two people mark each other, it's a mutual match! We'll connect you both via email after the event. No pressure, no awkwardness, just good vibes. After the event, we'll head to a nearby bar to celebrate and continue the conversations.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Who Comes to Mr. Speedfriending? You'll meet a diverse and welcoming group of people who, for many different reasons, are looking to expand their social circles. Our attendees are often:
Expats and internationals new to Denmark.
Exchange students looking to build a community.
Danes who have returned from living abroad.
People who have found their interests or situation have changed and want to meet new, like-minded friends.
