Join our Roda de Samba – Brazilian Percussion Experience in Copenhagen! 🔥
Calling all music lovers, percussion freaks, and brass players — this is your invitation to dive into a powerful Roda de Samba workshop, full of rhythm, connection, and Brazil’s vibrant aura.
Led by the Carioca duo Letícia Salgueiro and Rach Araujo, this 2-hour session is not your usual workshop — it’s a collective practice, an immersive experience rooted in the energetic street grooves and rodas of Rio de Janeiro.
We'll go through a bit of history and context, technique, common grooves, fills, bossas, and songs.
Letícia is a percussionist, arranger, and bloco leader.
Rach is a guitarist, vocalist, music producer, and arranger.
Together, they form Guira Una — a tropical, Afro-Brazilian, and feminine force based in Barcelona. They also lead the bloco Tropicalles and are members of the all-women samba group Quintal Delas.
This will be their first time performing in Denmark, during Copenhagen Carnival — and you’re invited to join in it too!

We recommend samba-style instruments such as:
Tantam, pandeiro, repique, caixa, surdo, reco-reco, chocalho, tamborim, frigideira...
No instrument? Let us know — we might be able to help!
Brass players (sax, trumpet, trombone) are also welcome — bring your soul and blow with us!
