Get ready for a high-energy, boundary-pushing live experience as the Scandinavian power duo RKDIA takes over Kayak Bar on July 8 as part of this year's Copenhagen Jazz Festival!
RKDIA consists of Danish keyboardist Morten Schantz and Swedish/Norwegian drummer Anton Eger — two long-time collaborators with roots in the groundbreaking supergroup JazzKamikaze, where they gained their international breakthrough back in 2005. Since then, they have played over 1,000 concerts together, developing an intense, playful, and completely uncompromising stage presence.
After releasing their debut album Into RKDIA in 2021, the duo has toured across Europe, Asia, and Africa - and now they are back in their hometown to bring the heat to one of Copenhagen's most iconic summer spots.
RKDIA describes their sound as broken disco – an explosive mix of quirky beats, stadium anthem hooks, and electronic euphoria. It’s music that gets your pulse and imagination going.
In the spring, they released two brand new singles - "Olympia I" and "Something 2 Die 4" - both pointing towards their upcoming album, which will be released in October 2025. Expect the unexpected - and get ready to be blown away. RKDIA live is an experience you won’t want to miss on this final day of the jazz festival.
