Philosophy for Plebs, Session 9 - the End

The End

Beyond here, you cannot pass. The absolute limit. The end. Period. Fin. What are “ends?” How does this concept of delimitation or finitude get worked in the texts of philosophy? Can there “be” an end of history? Of metaphysics? Of philosophy? Of the world? What does it mean, following Kant, that every man (sic) is an “end in himself?” In this episode of philosophy for plebs, we will work through the philosophies of the end (as well as continuities, corners, prolongations…), and ask ourselves if we can make ends meet.
