Opening of "Play Hard"

Opening May 16th
The gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Play Hard — a solo exhibition by Alva Le Febvre, curated by Ida Düring. The exhibition marks the opening of Minor’s new space at Jægersborggade 27, as well as Le Febvre’s first solo show at the gallery.

“Violent elements appear in soft materials, and decorative forms carry traces of menace. A body close to a morning star-like object, knives piercing textiles, and hyper-sexualized figures with militant expressions perform a femininity that is both reinforced and questioned. Le Febvre constructs a space where play is not necessarily a state of innocence, but a method of testing limits, power structures, and representation”.
