"Material Resistance: Ukrainian Design in Action" Exhibition

Ukraine House in Denmark is proud to present “Material Resistance: Ukrainian Design in Action” exhibition in collaboration with the Library of Ukrainian Materials and the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers as part of 3daysofdesign and Material Matters design fair (London).

Ukrainian design nowadays is a response to reality—where materials define possibilities. In a time of upheaval, designers and artisans work with what is available: natural resources, traditional crafts, and recycled materials.

Much like matter resisting pressure and destruction, Ukrainian design today is shaped by resilience, and every material becomes much more than just a resource—it carries cultural identity and tells the story of resistance, endurance and transformation.

Український дім у Данії радий презентувати виставку "Опір матеріалів: український дизайн в дії", організовану у співпраці з Бібліотекою українських матеріалів та Асоціацією українських виробників меблів. Ця виставка є частиною фестивалю 3daysofdesign та дизайн-ярмарку Material Matters (Лондон).

Сьогодні український дизайн — це відповідь на реальність, у якій матеріали визначають можливості. У час криз дизайнери й ремісники працюють з тим, що є в наявності: природні ресурси, традиційні ремесла, перероблені матеріали.

Подібно до матерії, що чинить опір тиску та руйнуванню, сучасний український дизайн формується крізь стійкість. Кожен матеріал стає не просто ресурсом, а носієм культурного коду, символом опору, витривалості й трансформації.
