Fini Broadbery Quartet

Kombinationen af Finis bløde og rene vokal med hans til tider rå og kompromisløse klaverstil gør musikken levende og nærmest legende let. Med sig i orkestret har Fini nogle fantastiske unge musikere, som – trods deres unge alder – allerede har sat deres præg på den danske jazzscene.

Dette formidable orkester fortolker både kendte og mindre kendte sange fra den amerikanske sangbog. Musikernes store kærlighed til jazzens tradition og historie skinner tydeligt igennem, mens musikken hverken er højtidelig eller bagudskuende. Orkestret insisterer på et seriøst udtryk, frit for klichéer og med et personligt bud på de ellers kendte sange.

The combination of Fini's soft and pure vocals with his sometimes raw and uncompromising piano style makes the music lively and almost playfully easy. With him in the band are some fantastic young musicians who – despite their age – have already made a mark on the Danish jazz scene.

This formidable ensemble interprets both well-known and lesser-known songs from the American songbook. Their deep love for jazz tradition and history shines through, while the music remains neither solemn nor nostalgic. The group insists on a serious expression, free of clichés and with a personal take on the standards.
