ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

🔴Ana Tavadze⚪

Is a frontline activist dedicated to human rights and democracy in Georgia. She works as a project manager and development officer at Tbilisi Pride, a nonprofit organization committed to creating an equal and free environment for LGBTQ+ individuals. She also holds the same role at GrlzWave, a civic platform that promotes social justice and democracy in Georgia by amplifying feminist and queer causes.

Beyond her organizational work, Ana is an independent civic activist involved in various initiatives focused on protecting human rights, advocating for free and fair elections, and raising public awareness about Georgia’s EU integration processes.

🟡Julia Zaitseva🔵

Is an Ukranian historian and activist, and a member of Ukrainian Dialogues (Copenhagen). Born and raised in Crimea, Julia was a first-hand witness to the Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014. She worked as a fixer to the largest news agencies documenting these events. After leaving Crimea, Julia has been active in supporting Ukraine’s way towards democratization and decolonization from Russian narratives.

Since 2022, Julia has been an active member of UA Dialogues’ advocacy efforts in Denmark. Focusing on supporting authentic voices of Ukraine and battling Russia’s propaganda, Julia continues her work to achieve a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.
