Join us for a one-of-a-kind improv acting workshop set inside a comic book universe!
In this playful and creative module, we dive into the vivid world of
comic books through the lens of improv and acting. Drawing inspiration from classic character archetypes, genre tropes, and rich story arenas -from post-apocalyptic wastelands to
retro-futuristic cities -we'll build compelling scenes and characters on the fly.
Through a series of guided improvisations, we'll explore:
Setting as Story Arena: How the environment shapes stakes, tone, and character choices.
Play: From noir detectives to superhero satire, we'll tap into the emotional core behind genre conventions.
Archetypes with a Twist: Using familiar comic book character types as a springboard, we'll create fresh, unexpected interpretations.
Collaborative Worldbuilding: Together, we'll build an original
universe through performance and play.
By the end of the workshop, the scenes, characters, and ideas we've created will serve as inspiration for a brand-new, collaboratively imagined comic book.

Whether you're an actor, writer, comic book fan, or just curious,
this workshop invites you to step into a comic frame and act like your imagination drew it.
