Jason Shooster (guitar), Laurits Høgel (klaver) og Tomas Raae (kontrabas) udgør en københavnsk jazztrio. Deres debutalbum, A Little Human!, udkom i marts 2025 på vinyl og streaming og fanger ånden i jazz manouche og swing – med inspiration fra østeuropæisk folkemusik og nordisk cool. Musikken er rodfæstet i traditionen, men har et friskt og tidløst udtryk.
Trioen består af etablerede musikere fra det danske jazzmiljø og har spillet med navne som Jacob Fischer, Thomas Fryland, Fessor, Bob Rockwell og Kira Martini. Med en legende tilgang til gypsy jazzens string swing og en dynamisk sammensmeltning af tradition og nytænkning skaber de et levende og nærværende musikalsk univers – en hyldest til Django Reinhardts arv, men med deres egen karakteristiske lyd.

A Little Human! – Shooster, Høgel & Raae
Jason Shooster (guitar), Laurits Høgel (piano), and Tomas Raae (double bass) form a Copenhagen-based jazz trio. Their debut album, A Little Human!, was released in March 2025 on both vinyl and streaming and captures the spirit of jazz manouche and swing – drawing inspiration from Eastern European folk music and Nordic cool. The music is deeply rooted in tradition, yet carries a fresh and timeless sound.
The trio consists of established musicians from the Danish jazz scene and has performed with names such as Jacob Fischer, Thomas Fryland, Fessor, Bob Rockwell, and Kira Martini. With a playful approach to gypsy jazz’s string swing and a dynamic blend of tradition and innovation, they create a vibrant and intimate musical universe – a tribute to Django Reinhardt’s legacy, but with a sound that is uniquely their own.
