Sunshine Coast Sangha Meditation Sessions
The weekly sangha is a warm and welcoming community based on the teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh (Thầy). We come together to breathe, sit, walk, and listen deeply, supporting one another in the practice of peaceful living in daily life. Through mindfulness and compassion, we learn to return home to the present moment, where understanding, connection, and peace can gently grow.
A typical in-person meditation session may consist:
* Guided meditation
* Walking meditation
* Silent sitting meditation
* Mindful movement
* Singing practice songs
* Dharma sharing: sharing our experience with the practice in our daily lives or asking questions, if we wish.
Each week, we'll focus on one main activity such as:
1. Reciting the 5 Mindfulness Trainings
2. Recite a Sutra from the Buddhist texts
3. Total relaxation
4. Mindful movement
All are welcome - no prior experience is needed.
All of our gatherings are donation-based and are generously run by volunteers. Donate what you can, or just bring yourself.
WHAT TO BRING:
1. A yoga mat and your comfortable cushions/sitting bench - the studio has cushions and chairs for us to use as well.
2. A water bottle.
3. Your lovely smile.
