Liquid Lyrics, Sunshine Coast's most wordy, worldly and worthy spoken word event is back again for another year of expression, community and lets be honest, non one really knows what else.

For this edition of Liquid Lyrics, we’re dimming the lights and turning up the heat.

Adults Only.
After Dark.

An intimate evening of spoken word where nothing is recorded and everything is felt.
Leave your phone at the door.
Bring your grown self.

Expect bold performances, cheeky moments, late-night honesty, and a room full of energy you won’t find on a livestream.

Masiy

Maisy has been immersed in the art of dance for nearly 18 years, beginning in hip hop where she trained with internationally recognised Sole Studios, representing them nationally and abroad. Over the past eight years she has built a dynamic career across jazz, commercial, contemporary and heels, working as both performer and creative.

Her credits include choreographic director for Les Miserables (2021) and Aladdin (2019), performances alongside artists such as 50 Cent and Electric Fields, and creative direction for major campaigns including Take3forthesea, USC, Modibodi and BONDS. She has appeared in numerous stage productions and received Dance Excellence and Creative Recognition awards from NFF.

Recently seduced by the art of burlesque, Maisy now captivates audiences with her teasing stage presence, striking costuming, and magnetic energy. For Liquid Lyrics: Adults Only, she’ll offer a tantalising glimpse into her upcoming cabaret, Detention After Dark.

* 3 minutes/ timer starts on the first word
* 1 point deducted for every minute over
* 5 Judges chosen randomly in the crowd
* high score and low score removed for final score


The winner will go into the end of year final for cash prizes to help you them on their your way to following their performance dreams.
