Kick off the holiday season with an unofficial chistmas movie classic; Better Off Dead is a 1985 teen comedy film starring John Cusack as Lane Meyer, a high schooler who experiences a series of misfortunes after his girlfriend breaks up with him. He goes through many bizarre and comical situations, culminating in a "two-to-one" bet to ski down a mountain against the school's ski captain. The film is known for its eccentric humor, visual gags, and quirky soundtrack.

This movie is part of a film series curated by local film critic and radio D.J. Alec Kerr. Screenings include an intro talk and Q&A session after the movie.
