Poetry in Flight: An Open Mic for all Ages

As part of the Old Fashioned Fly-In in the Town of Concrete, youngsters and grown ups are invited to participate in a poetry open mic event and share their poetry and prose inspired by flight and flying. “Flight” can be interpreted in so many ways. Let your imagination fly! Think planes, birds, Superheroes, flying in dreams, fun, scary, anything that can be found in the sky and that comes to mind. This event is sponsored by the Skagit River Poetry Foundation. We thank our partner, the Concrete Chamber of Commerce.

We encourage students from Concrete School District and surrounding districts to attend and participate - write a poem based on our theme and read it at this event!
