Universe Unplugged: Escaping Velocity

Our monthly Universe Unplugged workshop series will surely engage, inspire, and strengthen your understanding of the universe around us!

Do you feel stuck on Earth? What would it take to get you off of Earth and heading to another world, like Mars? Join in the hands-on, interactive program, "No Escape", and find out what it takes to escape from various places in the universe. Did you know that there is a place from which nothing, not even light, can escape? Participants will be participating in a physical demonstration of gravity well. Perfect for curious minds of all ages—no space travel required!

This program is designed for ages 9 -14, but all ages are welcome to join. With plenty of activities and interactive discussions, this workshop is perfect for curious minds eager to learn how humans have studied our universe for over 400 years!
