Spirit in Creation - Marjorie Burke and Pat O'Connor

Two local authors visit Gibson's Bookstore for their new project together, Spirit in Creation; Two Women, One Vision - Finding Peace and Truth in Creation. For two years Marjorie Burke and Pat O'Connor experienced the beauty of the natural world and wrote the words that inspired them, resulting in this beautiful book. Join them for a poetry reading, author talk, and book signing!

"Our sojourns together began in the fall of 2023. We sat by lakes, rivers, and dams wrapped in outerwear and seeking the warmth of the autumn sun upon our faces. We perched our chairs on mountaintops and snow-covered riverbanks. We gave witness to the changing foliage, water, rocks, and clouds, and then retreated to our cozy spots by the fire at an independent bookstore in Warner, New Hampshire. We wrote of our experiences in nature and in this most welcoming, safe space amongst the creations of local artisans. It became our home base as we stepped out in faith on this new journey together."
