Flood Facts & Closings: What Every Realtor Should Know

Calling all Realtors! Join us for an important and timely event focused on flood insurance and how it impacts your clients—especially those not in designated flood zones. Did you know that just one inch of water can cause up to $25,000 in damage, and that 98% of counties in the U.S. have experienced a flooding event? Despite this, only 4% of homeowners carry flood insurance.

We’ve all seen the heartbreaking devastation our neighbors in Western North Carolina recently endured. As real estate professionals, it’s our responsibility to be fully informed so we can protect our clients and help them make smart, secure decisions.

FEMA will be joining us to provide insight into the true cost of flood insurance—even outside high-risk areas—while dispelling common misconceptions and offering guidance on how to educate clients effectively. This event will empower you with tools, resources, and a deeper understanding of how to navigate these conversations with confidence.
