Fall Equinox Nature Journaling Workshop

Join The Nature Connection in welcoming the Fall Equinox with a mindful nature journaling workshop!

Nature journaling is a way to record your observations, questions, and experiences of nature and to mindfully connect with the natural world. Our goal is to help you experience the sense of well-being that can come through deepening your relationship with nature. This event is open to all ages and all levels, from beginners to experienced journalers.

We will begin with a brief introduction and orientation at The Nature Connection and then head outside to spend an hour journaling near Warner’s pond at Gerow Park, or along the rail trail walk to get there. We'll end with a closing sharing circle. Journal prompts and guidance will be provided as desired.

The Nature Connection will have paper, clipboards, and some writing/drawing supplies to share. We will also have a limited supply of journals for sale.

What to bring: your own nature journal or sketchbook and preferred drawing/painting/writing supplies. Dress appropriately for the weather, including a hat and/or sunscreen, bug repellent, and outdoor shoes. Bring a water bottle and your own snacks or a bag lunch if you’d like!

We will bring some portable stools as well, but feel free to bring your own preferred outdoor chair or blanket on which to sit while you journal.

We are a donor-supported organization, which means over 50% of our annual income comes from individual donors. Your donations allow us to care for program animals, offer weekly Wednesday programs, and travel to over 20 program sites each month across Middlesex County, delivering programs to older adults, adults with disabilities, and youth at risk - creating 3000 nature connections each year!
