Welcome to the Soft Return
This is more than a workshop. It is a sacred experience, a journey. A soft unfolding held in the arms of community. Guided by rhythm, rest, and remembrance. A Saturday morning ritual to come home to yourself,
The Soft Return is a three-month somatic healing journey for Black women who are ready to live more gently in their bodies. Once a month, we’ll gather in sacred space to slow down, release, rest, and reconnect.
Held at ABA Art Gallery & Clothing Boutique, a space rooted in African art, ancestral memory, and Black brilliance, each circle invites a return to truth, softness, and embodied presence.Together, we will unlearn urgency and relearn what it means to feel safe, supported, and deeply held.
What Is The Soft Return
The Soft Return Somatice Flow is a healing framework created by Tecca Thompson for Black women who are ready to live more gently in their bodies. This approach blends somatic healing, nervous system care, breathwork, gentle movement, and sacred rest practices to help you release emotional weight and reconnect with your truest self.
It is a return to truth.
A return to softness.
A return to the body as a place of belonging.
The Soft Return Somatic Flow was created for Black women navigating emotional fatigue, chronic tension, or inherited patterns of survival. It honors your pace and your story. It offers rest not as a luxury, but as a necessary and sacred right.
You don’t have to prove anything.
You don’t have to hold it all.
You get to return softly.
What Is Somatics
Somatics is a body-centered approach to healing that helps you reconnect with your physical, emotional, and energetic self. It invites you to notice how your body carries stress, tension, memory, and truth, and then respond with care, not control.
Somatic practices may include breathwork, gentle movement, body awareness, and rest rituals that support your nervous system in feeling safe and held.
Tecca believes that for Black women, somatics is a practice of self-love—a way of being kind and intimate with yourself in a world that has not always been kind to Black women.
It is how we remember that our bodies are wise, worthy, and never too much.
You don’t have to think your way into healing.
You can feel your way home.
The Experience- What to Expect
Over the course of three months, participants will be guided through The Soft Return Somatic Flow, a body-based healing process that gently supports the release of everyday stress, emotional overwhelm, and the deeper weight of racialized and generational trauma. Each session meets the places in your body where stress, survival, and silence have taken root.
Through breathwork, grounding, and rest practices, you’ll begin to release the layers of grief, vigilance, and exhaustion that so many Black women carry quietly and often alone.
You’ll move at your own pace.
You’ll be held in community.
And you’ll be invited into a space where you don’t have to explain your exhaustion—just be held and witnessed in it.
Along the way, you’ll build connection, sisterhood, and a deeper relationship with your body’s natural rhythm and wisdom.
