"In Praise of Sparrows" Auditions!

WHEN: Sunday, August 10th from 5PM - 8PM OR Monday, August 11th fom 6PM - 9PM. Choose ONE date to audition.

WHERE: Fairlawn Presbyterian Church (2611 Fairlawn Drive Columbus, IN 47203)

WHO CAN AUDITION: Anyone ages 10 and up

29 speaking parts available for a diverse cast

Some speaking parts for young actors with majority of roles for adult actors.

We are seeking senior actors for significant roles.

We are seeking culturally diverse actors.

Please note that there are some mature themes in the play

HOW TO PREPARE: Review the performance and rehearsal details below, and ensure you are available for the dates listed. Audition will consist of readings from the script in a collaborative environment. For a character breakdown, you can review the “Character Breakdown” section below

AUDITION FORMS & WAIVERS: Printed audition forms and waivers will need to be filled out upon arrival at auditions. You can review our participation waiver in advance here. A waiver must be signed by each actor auditioning in person and every cast member.

Note: Virtual auditioners might not be considered for principal parts.

CASTING AND REHEARSALS: The cast list will be released on the MRTC website and social media pages on Tuesday, August 11th, 2025. Cast Orientation and Script Pickup will be Sunday August 17th from 4:30PM - 6:30PM. Rehearsals begin Monday, August 18th. Rehearsals vary by role (1-4 nights per week).
