Hobnobbers Host Canal Jumpers: A Gentlemanly Contest in Schiller Park

Huzzah! Join the German Village Hobnobbers for a jolly match of base ball as it was played in 1860—with no gloves, gentlemanly conduct, and hearty hurrahs! This noon-time affair on the grassy meadow of Schiller Park pits our gallant nine against the visiting Tippecanoe Canal Jumpers club.

Bring your camp chairs and parasols, cheer for your local ballists, and enjoy a free and family-friendly afternoon of vintage sport and spirited camaraderie. All cranks (spectators) welcome—no ticket required!
