Mending is the emotional dynamo behind the decks — a Columbus-based DJ weaving together the soul of Melodic Stutter House with the pulse of Neurofunk/Drum & Bass. Their sound is high energy, vulnerable, and cathartic — designed to move bodies and stir hearts. Drawing on a lifetime of internal static and sonic hyperfixation, Mending channels their late-diagnosed AuDHD into immersive sets that speak without words.
Inspired by early pioneers like Aphex Twin, Orbital, and Photek, Mending crafts deep melodic journeys, balancing beauty and chaos, tension and release. Each set feels like a diary entry on the dance floor — structured enough to carry a groove, but wild enough to catch you off-guard.
They didn’t touch their first controller until their 40th birthday — a moment that became a seismic shift. What started as a personal outlet quickly became something more: a practice in presence, a reclamation of joy, and a way to connect through feeling rather than form.
Mending isn’t just a DJ — they’re a storyteller in sound. Whether you’re lost in the drop or floating in the breakdown, their mission is the same: to help people feel more — more seen, more alive, more themselves.
