Hosted by Columbus City Council, the 3rd Annual Columbus Africa Day 2025 Celebration commemorates the founding of the Organisation of African Unity, now known as the African Union. The celebration will honor not only the advancements and achievements of the diverse African communities in Columbus, but also the initiatives and projects that have empowered generations to preserve their cultural heritage while contributing to the city’s growth and vitality.
This year's show will have free food for the first 100 attendees as well as an African market featuring clothing and jewelry vendors, spoken word and dance performances and a keynote address. Remarks will also be given by Columbus City Councilmembers, Mayor Andrew Ginther and leaders in the diaspora.
The event will take place outside Columbus City Hall on the Portman Plaza facing W. Broad St.
