Topic: Scraps to Soil: Discovering Nature’s Recycling System!

Learn how food scraps, leaves, and even yard waste transform into rich, nourishing soil. Through games, activities, and nature-based exploration, we’ll discover the tiny creatures and processes that make nature’s recycling system work. Perfect for young eco-explorers eager to make a difference for the planet!

$5 members / $7 nonmembers (per child) Free entry for 1 caretaker.

Budding Naturalist is a monthly program that will ignite children’s curiosity and interest in science and the natural world through observation, exploration, hands-on activities and data collection.

Each hour-long session will include a lesson focused on elements and processes of the natural world and a hands-on activity to reinforce the day’s lesson, consisting of observation/experimentation, data collection and analysis.

Budding Naturalist occurs the 2nd Thursday of every month.
