Be transported to the sun-drenched hills and vibrant markets of Provence, where fresh herbs, olive oil, and sun-ripened vegetables are the stars of the table. In this hands-on cooking class with food writer and chef instructor Shawnie Kelley, you’ll learn how to prepare a traditional Provençal Sunday supper that celebrates the region’s Mediterranean climate and rich culinary heritage. Perfect for those who love simple, rustic, and flavorful dishes that embrace the essence of French home cooking.
Shawnie will share stories of the region’s food culture and walk you through how to create an unforgettable meal inspired by the kitchens of Provence. Whether you’re a Francophile, a home cook looking to expand your repertoire, or simply love food that is full of flavor and heart, this class will give you a true taste of southern France.
On the Menu:
Provençal Roasted Herbed Chicken – A fragrant and satisfying centerpiece of bone-in chicken roasted with herbes de Provence and aromatics, yielding juicy meat, crispy skin, and the essence of rustic French cooking.
Mini Skillet Ratatouille – Guests will create individual servings of this colorful Provençal vegetable medley, layering sautéed eggplant, zucchini, peppers, and tomatoes in personal cast iron skillets for a hearty and beautiful dish.
Lavender & Honey Lemon Madeleines – Light, buttery Madeleines infused with lavender and honey and topped with a lemon glaze, offering a delicate, elegant dessert to end your French-inspired meal.

If you need to cancel your class booking, you may do so up to 48 hours before the class to receive a refund or class credit.
If The Mix must cancel a class, you will be notified immediately by phone or email and given the option to switch to another class of equal value or receive a full refund.
