The Common Thread Spoken Word Fundraiser

Join The Common Thread Foundation for a powerful evening of spoken word and community connection - hosted by the incomparable DJ “B” Mack and featuring Miss Kiane.
Location: Owen Brown Community Center
Date: November 6th, 2025
Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
General admission: $36 (all proceeds support local educational programs)
The evening includes cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, spoken word poetry by Miss Kiane, an open mic for community voices, and a social mixer to inspire connection and collective purpose.
An event for the whole family! While adults experience the performance, kids are invited to a hands-on LEGO® Discovery Workshop during the event (space is limited!).
All proceeds directly support The Common Thread Foundation, with special thanks to Maslow’s Loom, whose sponsorship helps bring Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math programs to underserved youth in our communities.
