In small-town Australia, teen trans filmmaker Sophie (Lauren Last) spends her days working on her films, hanging out with her friends, and working at a movie theater. When there’s a sudden spread of bigotry, Sophie is the only one that realizes that an ancient parasite has unleashed a virus that causes its hosts to descend into violent extremism. Determined to protect her community, Sophie rallies her friends to reclaim their town. Made at the age of 18 by rising horror auteur Alice Maio Mackay, T Blockers is an inventive spin on classic horror, indie comedies, and revenge thrillers.
