Open Minds Initiative: Greg Lukianoff

Join us for a public lecture by Greg Lukianoff, a renowned First Amendment attorney, free speech advocate, author, and president and CEO of the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 6-7 p.m. at the State Historical Society of Missouri.

Lukianoff will explore free speech, knowledge creation, open dialogue, critical thinking, and resilience. Campus and community members are invited to this free lecture and discussion.

The Open Minds Initiative sponsors courses, events, and scholarship dedicated to fostering a vibrant academic environment where the free exchange of ideas, intellectual pluralism, and civil discourse are celebrated as essential pillars of education and truth-seeking. This commitment aims to strengthen the purpose and promise of higher education, bridge ideological differences, reduce political polarization, and strengthen democratic values on campus and beyond.
