Monarch Journey with Laura Semken and Missouri Conservation Corps
Join Missouri Conservation Corps and our Naturalist Laura Semken as we teach and guide volunteers through the process of tagging and recording Monarch butterflies during the Monarch migration across Missouri this autumn.
Laura has four events scheduled in her Monarch Journey Program across central Missouri this year, including three events in Columbia's Bonne View Nature Sanctuary, and one event in the Big Muddy Wildlife Refuge. All events are free and open to all ages.
The first event in this series will take place on Saturday, September 20th in Columbia's Bonnie View Nature Sanctuary. This event will run from 9 a.m. to noon, and RSVP is encouraged but not required. For more information, visit the Missouri Conservation Corps website, or scan the QR code on the flyer below.
Partners for these events include U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Columbia Audubon Society of Missouri, Columbia Parks and Recreation, and Missouri Dept. of Conservation.
