Jefferson Landing: The Rise, Fall and Rebirth of a Historic Riverboat Landing

After the seat of the Missouri government moved to the city of Jefferson in 1826, the lower end of Jefferson Street became a lively commercial and transportation hub on the Missouri River.

Come explore the history of Jefferson Landing and the mid-19th century buildings that remain to tell its story. Director of the Missouri State Museum and Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, Tiffany Patterson, will share insight into Jefferson Landing's heyday, its seedier history as river trade waned, and its present and future as a state historic site.
